To help market one of the darkest films in the comic book world, Joker, Roadshow Films wanted to create an impact that would create a dark intrigue in the lead up to the movie’s release, that would resonate with their audience. The client engaged us to provide the opportunity to takeover Swan St in Richmond that was deemed a critical location for their target market.
With prime exposure, 26 frames of street posters along the bustling Swan Street ensured the teaser campaign simply couldn’t be missed. At night, the effect was extra creepy with the streetlamps glowing on the posters that created an additional ambience of mystique.
Our client loved having ownership in such a prominent, sought after location in Richmond. The film was a standout success taking $35 million at the Australian box office and over $1 billion worldwide which is unheard off for a film with an R rating.
